00:00:21:03 Against Loom

Always half the price of Loom

Not a launch discount that expires once you have moved your library over. A standing commitment: if Atlassian cuts Loom's price, we cut ours.

00:01:52:07 Questions

The awkward questions, answered first

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

The workspace goes read-only. Nothing is deleted and nothing goes dark: every video that already exists stays watchable, and every link you already shared keeps working for the people you shared it with.

What stops is new work in the org: recording into the shared workspace, adding members. Add a card and it picks up exactly where it was.

Is my video public by default?

Yes, in the sense that matters: a new video gets an unlisted link, and anyone with that URL can watch it without an account. That is what makes it useful to paste into a message.

Unlisted is not the same as secret. It is not listed in any public directory, but it is not access-controlled either. You can make a video private.

Is the individual plan actually free, or is it a trial?

Actually free. No card at signup and no countdown running in the background. We charge organizations for the shared workspace and the administration around it, not individuals for recording their screen.

What counts as a seat?

One person in your organization, at $7 per month. Add a member, add a seat.

Do people I send request links to need an account?

No. They do not sign up, do not install anything, and do not pay. They open the link, record in their browser or upload a screen recording from their phone, and the video arrives in your library.

They are not a seat. They are someone with a link.

Is there a desktop app?

Not yet. A native macOS recorder with system audio capture and global hotkeys is in progress. Everything else described on this site works in the browser today.
